Hello everyone, I thought you might like to see/hear a podcast from The Royal Collection. The section on the wedding dress lasts for about six minutes and if you choose Audio with images, there are lots of close-up photos of the lace, especially on the skirt and train.
"The Royal Collection curator Caroline de Guitaut talks about the intricate craftsmanship of the Duchess of Cambridge's wedding dress." http://www.royalcollection.org.uk There are other photos on this website - I really liked the one where you could see the pins holding the lace in position on the gazar. I can't get to the Palace until September this year, so I'm having to buy a new ticket as last year's will be out of date by then. If you time your visit carefully you can get free entry for a year (although Buckingham Palace is only open from the end of July until early October.) A friend and I go every year and see old favourites as well as each new special exhibition. Last year we had afternoon tea on the terrace overlooking the lawns where the Queen holds her garden parties each summer. I'll let you know what I think in September.
