Dear Arachnes, With all the interest in the display of the dress, you might like this little piece from the BBC, which I heard on saturday:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/from_our_own_correspondent/9551571.stm French lace-makers proud to be part of Kate's dress. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page there is a link to the audio, it was the last item so about 10 -12 minutes from the end. I love the last lines: "... after my intensive lace emersion, I was practically dreaming it. I began seeing "lace" all around town, in the swags of telegraph pole wires, in the festoons of street lights, and in the cut-ironwork framing the windows where, I bet, those curtains are still twitching." Although I think immersion is meant rather than emersion. Regards Louise In sticky Cambridge, where the harvest is in full swing: combines going from dawn to dusk and beyond. - To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [email protected].
