Tess has informed me that there are a number of things that my memory
appears to be faulty about regarding the Professor and his site.

Notably, John Cropper saw the professor through his final illness and took
over the site afterward. I recalled someone named Chris, but we think that
this is Kris Bruland who has been handling the sale of the finished CDs.
Apparently, I am mistaken about the Professor receiving any kind of
financial help from the University of Arizona for the site.

She shared with me the following memory of the Professor:

"Once time on Ebay I saw that someone was trying to sell the material
collected on the site for money and I wrote the prof and told him about it,
thinking he would feel that he was being robbed. Not so, he said that they
were always trying to do that and that it didn't matter to him, his idea being
that all he was doing was meant to be shared by everyone even the baddies.
What a good guy he was--a real teacher! I learned so much from him, and
will always be grateful for his tutelage and patience."

I know we all remember him for all of his efforts to provide us with the
wonderful gift of the Digital Archives. His good work lives on.

Many thanks to Tess, as well, for her tireless scanning efforts.
