Iâ?Tm getting ready for the Ithaca Lace Day in October. Iâ?Tm taking Binche, and am all set with sufficient books. But a friend is taking a different course, and scrambling to find a used copy of the preferred book, which is out of print. Used copies are scarce and very expensive, new ones are the price of a cheap intercontinental flight. Hi Lynn As an author I can sympathise too. Regarding copyright. If the book is out of print you can always contact the author and ask how much she charges for you to copy sections. I an currently preparing my Torchon Drafting book to be Printed on Demand. I have had a few problems, particularly regarding the cover - my computer skills are not really adequate in this department. I will let you know how I get on. It may be the way we need to look for providing lace books in the future. Anyone interested in publishing a book this way is welcome to contact me. Happy lacemaking Alex - To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [email protected]. For help, write to [email protected].
