Just shows what you're up against!

Dear Lacemakers

I went to Buckingham Palace a couple of weeks ago with a friend, to see Kate's wedding dress and despite the fact that I sent my friend a link back in April, to all the information about the dress, she was surprised to learn that it was not handmade! I hasten to add that she is not a lacemaker, neither are two other friends that I had dinner with a couple of weeks ago, who were equally disappointed to learn from me that the lace was machine made. I told them that the lace could not possibly have been made by hand in the time that was available and that the RSN worked round the clock to 'apply' the machine made lace to the background fabric, never mind making it by hand!
