Hello All! To specify--I was using a newer DMC color #4210, variegated reds/rose/cranberry. When I made an error & picked out the thread, the linen was discolored--red on cream. Jeri suggested that I post this info to help others. She also noted that she/we should not have to "test" our threads--that is the job of the manufacturer. To which I say--Hear, Hear! Anyway, I just wanted to clarify that I have recently had this problem with this particular thread. No comment on other colors or types of thread. So a word to the wise if you happen to use floss for gimp. Today was spent at EGA in Canton, OH & one of the gals is recently returned from teaching at national seminar in Naples, FL. DMC gave out huge tote bags full of their threads to each teacher--memory thread, floss, floche, perle, rayon & more. So it would seem they are trying to promote their products with the professionals. Nice touch, but it doesn't help if their customers are dissatisfied. Sincerely, Su! san Hottle, Erie, PA USA
