You know it's odd that statement.... Today I attended Pudsey Lace Fair, Jane Partridge was there and we ended up chatting about lace (now I wonder why.... LOL) anyway, one item we were discussing was how many ways one can wear the lace from a tiara.... it could be worn as cuffs on a tshirt for instance.
Tiny motifs can be made into brooches, earrings, pendants etc, and you don't have to worry about it going through the washing machine!! You can stitch it onto hankies, tshirt fronts, shirts etc... Once we have the thought that lace can be worn, the ideas are as large as our imagination. Try giving it to a friend, young relation, old relation.... anyone who has ever expressed an interest in lace... tell them about your closest teacher... We may revive this hobby yet!!
