Arachne is an email list, started and sponsored, still paid for, by Liz Reynolds (do I have the name right?) Yes, it has some limitations. After all, it has been active for many years now. I, for one, am grateful to Liz for starting and maintaining the List all these years.
It's impossible to tabulate the many things I have learned from this List, and the help I've received from the many people on the list. It certainly expanded my view of lace and of the world. And my list of lace friends. It also led me, literally, halfway around the world to England and the Arachne 98 Conference. The members of the list were very helpful earlier this year when I was searching for particular patterns. In turn, I think I have helped a few people when they were having a problem with a project. So, yes, we can't send pictures with our messages, but I can live with that. As mentioned by several people, there are other venues for pictures. Thanks, Liz, and thanks to Avital for monitoring the list to keep it running smoothly.
