Hi It's nearly 2 weeks since I did my demonstration at our church's Christmas Tree festival and I thought I ought to let you all know how I got on. It was an interesting experience. I was there all day on Saturday, apart from going home for lunch and for about 4 hours on Sunday afternoon.
I certainly had a few good conversations, and explained how lace is made to several people, including a friend's husband, who seemed to understand the process. A couple of small boys were fascinated by the spiders I was doing and made a point of counting the legs on all of them. And one small girl wanted to have a go and did several stitches of ground for me. I doubt very much whether anyone will want to start making lace as a result of this, but you never know. The good thing was that I was making bookmarks to sell for our building project and I sold the 5 I had already made plus the one I made on Saturday and the one I started on Sunday. I was using one of my own designs. But I was wondering whether anyone knows whether it would be violating copyright if I were to use someone else's design and sell it for charity?
