Did you notice??? Towards the bottom of the scroll of pictures is a doily/handkerchief with a fancy fabric center, and the lace is being attached to the fabric as it is made. I've never seen this in any book or class. I was always told to make the lace first, let it shrink off the pins, and then sew it to the fabric.



I hadn't noticed that - well spotted! It's not a straight edge either but an usual shape and I'm intrigued to know how it's done.
