What sad, sad news! I never met Betty in person but a few years ago she had bought a stack of Piecework magazines with an article about lace. She offered the magazines to those of us who did not have access to the magazine and we sent gifts in lieu of the money she had spent on the magazines. For years afterwards I would get an e-mail from her to say she is still using the pincushion I sent. Those e-mails always made me feel so good so it was another example of her wonderful grace and charm. Please pass my condolences on to her family. If we are going to miss her, just imagine the loss to her family.
