If you are making these in any cotton/rayon ie non-stretchy yarn, make a short bit and try it out first. I have always found that although you need to avoid fluffy yarns, holder strips made from wool, wool-blends or acrylic yarns which have a bit more stretch-and-shrink-again ability than cotton are more successful as they hold the bobbins better without being a fight to get on.
