I especially loved the Bucks Point pattern in the magazine because it mentions in the article that a similar design shows up in Downton lace but with a different ground (honeycomb instead of point ground) and Downton is one of my favorite laces. I definitely have that on my wish list once I finish my bookmark for the exchange. I found the article about Margaretenspitze wonderful even if the accompanying project was not terribly intriguing to me. I am even a little bit tempted to pick up a crochet hook and try the Clones crochet. Piecework continues to inspire and I've been a subscriber for many years.
Recently I've fallen in love with Romanian Point lace and Piecework featured an RPL butterfly in their January 2001 issue. It's one year that's missing from my collection so I purchased the digital download of the whole year from Interweave. I loaded it on my nook and can look at the magazines no matter where I'm at. I'll never give up the paper issues, but having the digital version always with me is pretty sweet. It contains an interesting article on Bucks point, with a pretty edging pattern. Also articles on a modern form of Reticella, Margaretenspitze, Clones crochet, Tatting and Lace Knitting, all with a certain amount of how-to instructions. Worth looking for on a bookstand if you don't subscribe.
