Hello All! Thank you Brenda! Love the stairs--they look like iron work to me but who cares!?! For Mark--the easy way to learn Mirecourt is to attend a class with Deborah Beever. Mirecourt is a very pretty lace with a special type of "gimp"--except that it's not called gimp. You would ask--"cord" I think but I'm not sure & don't have time to dig out my notes! Anyway, the stuff looks like cotton & is wrapped around a core. It looks very much like the new DMC memory cord except that it's limp rather than wired. The main distinction is that the weaver makes a stitch going thru the cord, but the cord is simply passed on the return. It is my understanding the lace is mostly florals. Debby has taught Mirecourt in OH & PA over the past several years. We'd be honored if you'd like to pop over & join a class! Sincerely, Susan Hottle, Erie, PA USA
