Oddly I never received Brenda's original message. The photo of the skirt is not clear enough or close up enough to be certain. But the way the threads leave the cloth trail indicates this is a straight lace, definitely not Russian braid (Russian tape lace). But whether it is handmade Cluny or machine made Cluny is impossible to tell for sure. We would need to see the individual threads in the cloth splotches to distinguish machine from handmade. Lorelei
