A couple of weeks ago I asked if anyone knew where i might find a circular
torchon pattern, not a circular edge but one that will make a clock face
with a small hole in the centre for the hands to be fitted. I was looking
at one particular pattern to use which is bucks point, but although I have
prepared the pattern, the more I look at it the less I love it and as I am
going to spend hours working it but years of looking at it I feel it would
be the wrong pattern for this job.
I looked at Biggins patterns but haven't found anything that 'calls' me, but
in the last month or so I have seen one that looks like torchon, with
diamonds and roseground in it but cant remember where I saw it so cant go
and ask the question. It was worked in white or cream with what looked like
brown maybe sock wool stitched over the outside edges to give the numbers.
Really pretty. What I want is to love a pattern and be able to buy it to
work.
I dont feel capable of making up my own (haven't mastered the design program
to work circular patterns and wonder if anyone knows where I might source
something suitable.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
