My best advice to anyone doing this is find and buy the suitable clock first, make sure it is right for the job and then source the pattern. My initial intention was to buy one like the image on the front of Alex Stillwells geometric lace and work a piece of bucks point lace but I couldn't get the info from the supplier so it never happened so when I saw this other one I was pleased and grabbed at the opportunity without realising there was no glass underneath the plastic. It proved difficult to find a big enough circular pattern of lace but I did eventually find one pattern which is only one or two sessions of lacemaking and then some sewings in to complete it. I am getting quite excited now, <g> and looking forward to taking all the cover cloths off it and seeing it all together. Susie, there is a lamp shade pattern in the Modern Lace designs of Veronica Sorenson.

Hello to One and All!

I'm so looking forward to seeing this piece. On my
list of many things to do...I was contemplating making a lace clock for my
studio. In addition to a lace lamp shade for my bedroom.
Hugs,

Another update on the clock
face and frame saga. The offending piece is going back to the seller and we purchased another clock today which looks idea for the job. Glass front, deep enough to take lace and hands inside and nice and elegant overal. Will take
photos when it is all complete. The lace is coming on well and should be
finished by the end of this week i think.
