Today was an exciting day. I was meant this morning at McDonalds in Canandaigua, NY by some of my FingerLakes Lace Guild members. We went on a day trip to Castellani Museum located in Niagara Falls. I was close to the falls but wasn't there...LOL I do want to go to the Falls one of these days. I have been wanting to go back for years. The last time I was there I was a kid with my hair looking very much so Victorian with my hair pulled back and ringlets hanging down my back. I do have natural curly hair. Anyways, It was a long drive to the museum. But there was plenty of conversation and a couple rest stops...and I bought a StarBucks mocha to drink on the way. The lace exhibit was put together by Molly Carroll. I know Molly and have seen her at Ithaca Lace Days that takes place every year during Columbus weekend. She is a dealer of laces and I do have a few pieces of Irish laces that I have gotten from her over the years. The laces were beautiful. She had Carrickmacross with fine machine net and without the net Guipure , Youghal pronounced Yawl, Needlerun Tambour needlelace. There was also Irish Crochet. The exhibit was just wonderful. I thank Shirley Egan for picking us up and taking us there. Right now I can't type no more for my fingers are sore from my skin cracking...a sure sign that Winter will soon be upon us. We did have a slight bit of snow yesterday...so maybe this year Winter will be more like Winter...snowy and cold. I will be posting some pictures on my blog maybe tomorrow. I will have to see how my fingers are tomorrow. It was a wonderful day...in the Lacingneighborhood Wind To Thy Wings, Sherry [email protected] http://celticdreamweaver.com/ http://celticdreamweave.blogspot.com/ Nata 616
