I also was fortunate to join the Aussie's Slovenia/Russian trip the last 2
weeks of June 2012.

The Slovenian's are a wonderful, warm and welcoming people. They went out of
their way to make us welcome and very special guests. We toured the country
and saw many special local lace exhibits and very a very beautiful and
varied country.

I do encourage everyone to attend the '16 OIDFA congress if they can. Our
tour there was wonderful and the "Aussies" were wonderful travel companions.
Hello to Annette from the USA and I'll see you in a few years!

Jeri, Lorelei and All,
I understand that it is hoped to offer Pag lace as the needlelace class at
OIDFA in Slovenia in 2016.
I have also heard that there is a reluctance in Pag to teach outsiders their
special lace. This could be why there are no "how to" books available.
I did a lace tour of Slovenia this year prior to Caen OIDFA and it was
amazing. The OIDFA Congress in Slovenia is a not to be missed event! Their
lace is beautiful and their county amazing. Their people so generous and
friendly and the organised events were so professional.

Annette in a cool Wollongong, Australia.

The text told us about the lace history but nothing how to make Pag needle
lace.
