Hello there gentle spiders, I have a question for you:
I have a copy of a little Bucks Point Nativity pattern (about 3inches long in a lozenge shape) by Jean Horne. I was given this copy by the late Betty Ann Rice. I wanted to make it this Christmas in memory of her. I have no idea where she got it as there are no markings on the copy I have. My question for anyone who might have this pattern is with the bottom area below the Holy Family. The pricking shows a normal cloth stitch type area but the darling photo with the pricking shows groups of parallel untwisted looking threads traveling horizontally and seemingly fastened together with pairs from the body of the lace worked in a diagonal grid. Any information on how to do this? Also does anyone know where this little pattern came from, I would love to buy a book of her work as this little piece is just charming. Thanks for any help!
