Happy, and Lacy, Greetings to all for the holidays. I hope your New Year is full of lace and pleasure.
I have a small tree on my table, covered with lace snowflakes. I have to admit that they are crocheted. My aunt, who is now gone, made them. They have special memories for me. I try to display them in some way each year, not always on a tree. She chose three patterns each year, marked them in the book so she knew when she used each one so there were no duplicates, and made 50 of each pattern. She started in January and ended in the summer. Then she had to starch them all, about 8 at a time. This was the part that she didn't like, and would moan about it in Sept and Oct, until all 150 were done. She put a set of 3 in her Christmas cards, and the rest went to a charity sale. I didn't put out many decorations this year, but the snowflakes had to come out. Alice in Oregon .. where DH and I will celebrate tonight, and spend tomorrow with a brother's family. - To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [email protected].
