Sue Thompson, in her book INTRODUCTION TO HONITON LACE, does show a aewing
done into a sidebar.  And I remember being told that using both the top and
bottom sidebar of any pinhole for sewings would allow you to turn a curve more
fluently.  But I don't remember who I heard that from.  I took 1 Honiton
workshop with Sheila Wells, so it was probably her (although I can't be
sure).

If one can hang on 2 new pairs at a pinhole by sewing each pair onto a
sidebar, I don't see any reason why turning curves can't be achieved the same
way.  My motto is "do what works".
