Devon asked: Has anyone on the list ever participated in a yarn bombing?
I belong to a knitting group and we meet at assorted down-town cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, once a week. One place that we go to quite regularly asked us to yarn bomb her cafe for Christmas. This was at the beginning of December, but we all felt that we were too busy, so it has now been decided that some time later this month or early February we will yarn bomb her place.
I have a knitting machine and have made a 10 ft length to go round a floor to ceiling pipe which stands in one corner. Others are doing smaller things to decorate chairs etc. When it is done, I'll take a couple of photos and post them somewhere.
Malvary in Ottawa where after 76cm of snow over the past 3-4 weeks and very cold temperatures, it is about +1c today and forecast high of +5c by Friday.
