In December 2005 I bought a Windows version (says it's for Windows 98 or newer, but wouldn't like to say if it would work with anything above Vista) of Knipling (English), and I didn't get on with it. I found it a chore when it should be a pleasure. It's been sitting in a cabinet for over 7 years not being used and this seems a waste. I get on extremely well with Lace 8.

It is registered to me, but the License agreement says I can "transfer the rights of this license agreement on a permanent basis to a third party provided you hand over this license agreement together with the registration number, all copies of the software (most recent and all earlier versions) and all accompanying written materials to the third party, and that recipient agrees to the terms of this agreement."

It is not easy to use. For instance the very first instruction is "First we have to select an appropriate grid for our draft. We choose the width and height, the grid distances, the shape and symmetric properties of our draft." and to create a ribbon you have to enter X and Y axes. It's not like other programs designed specifically for lace where you just select the grid you want from a drop-down list and just "plonk" your elements where you want them. The English description of the program is on:

So if anyone wants it, I'm happy for you to have it - no charge (it cost 90 Euros), but as it weighs 550 grams would ask that the recipient pays for the postage into my Paypal account: for instance the postage to the USA is around GBP 9.20 (that's about $14), within the UK it's around £3.00.

If more than one of you is interested, the first one saying they definitely want it gets it. If no-one's interested it will go back in the cabinet.
