Think I have interested an acquaintance in lace making but she has MS and said she would .... Lacemaking is particularly kind to those with physical problems as there is plenty of scope for modifying the techniques for handling the bobbins and pins and producing a good tension according to individual requirements. Do not try to pre-judge the techniques she should use, show her all the variations you know so that she can find the one that she finds the most comfortable. For anyone with hand problems handling fine pins may be difficult. Berry pins may be used if there is enough space between the pinholes in the pricking so that the heads do not clash. I hope your aquaintance will have a go and find she enjoys lacemaking, perhaps it will be the start of a lasting frienship. Happy lacemaking to you both.
