For lace research, I am trying to find information for Chateau de Bethune. The late 1800s lace image I am working from shows a turreted building, with a pond or moat filled with water and ducks. I have not found a contemporary photograph that comes anywhere near what I'm trying to find. I have tried searching google over the past few weeks, and what I have turned up is of no help. There are several chateaus associated with the Bethune family in France. (Chateau de Sully is one I have isolated as being different, and also having a turreted building and a pond or moat.) A pure search of Chateau de Bethune turned up an inn in Amboise, but the photo shows no water feature and the turrets are much too plain.
Can someone in France lead me to a English language website that would be helpful? I want to write 3 sentences that summarize the history and current use of the chateau.
