Well, the quick and dirty answer to that is that I don't routinely send 50
hiDef pictures out to people!  If a picture is on my tablet, I can send it via
email.  It doesn't need to go to my computer.  But, I concede that if I did
need to send a lot of large files, some sort of storage device would be
needed, and it would need to be attached to my computer.

I have a lovely external Zip drive gathering dust somewhere in it's lovely
case...  It was replaced by flash drives.  I'm just saying that I would like
*my* commemorative to be something that will be useful for a very long time.
I see no reason why those who prefer a flash drive commemorative shouldn't
have one (or several!).  ;)

And no, if I send a picture to someone, no special app is needed on their end.
The app I mentioned is useful for me to access my files between my computer
and my iPad within my home network.
