I've been on Arachne almost since the beginning and have the Arachne pin but
can't find it at present. Maybe someone could put their pin on flicker so
everyone could see the logo we had. Maybe we could reuse it with the 20th
Anniversary notation.

I like the idea Alex had of making a small transfer sheet. That would be easy
to add to our existing equipment. I also liked the idea of a patterned fabric
we could all purchase by the yard and make our own cover cloths, knitting bags
or smaller bags to keep our needlelace or tatting stuff in, or even larger
scale
tote bags for pillows. Maybe using the spider part of the logo for the
patterned fabric. My friend digitizes logos for cover cloths that she sells at
IOLI conventions and I bet many of us know where we could get something like
that done by a local business. In the US it seems that most towns have a
business like that. I have even done iron on logos on fabric printed on my
computer in the past. It would be good to have the logo available for download
by all of us.

I also like the idea of someone coming up with a lace design, maybe a line
drawing, that could be made into a pricking for different types of lace,
similar
to the poppies made by international lacemakers, and then having our finished
designs online for everyone to see. If we do this, we should have the design
well ahead of 2015 so that slower lacemakers have a chance to get theirs done
by
the deadline.

Where I am working on my lace talk for a local junior college and getting
pillows ready for them to have a go. A chance to influence a younger age
group
so I had better not blow it. Going to show more contemporary designs to them
as
well as historical laces.
