Hi Agnes and fellow Arachnids,
A couple of things when demonstrating at this time of the year. Wear layers
and plenty of them. You can peel off what is not needed during the day and
put them on again towards the end of the day as it gets colder again.
Secondly, find a large box and flatten it to put under your feet (this is an
old market traders' trick to help keep the feet warmer). It can be discarded
at the end of the show. If you have a pair of fingerless gloves (leather or
cotton as wool sheds too much) wear them. It may be a little awkward at
first to make lace with them on, but you get used to them quite quickly.
