This is the usually way I wind the Spanish bobbins, so the hitch does not tangle with the rest of the thread.It is true that the size of the bobbin is 14 cm. long and this helps.

  I made sure that when I wound the bobbins I only put thread on the
bottom two thirds of the neck, leaving the top third of the neck bare wood which
held the hitch very nicely.

I have used Yaspe silk from B&F and had not problems. But I have to say that one hitch do not works for me. Up to 3 hitches is usual and when it comes from silk that slips I make 4 hitches. More than one hitch is not a problem to slide the thread of the bobbin when it is needed.
