It was an experiment to ask for under-age-50 apprentice volunteers on
Arachne a couple months ago, since I've never heard of anyone else doing so.

This is a follow-up to let everyone know that I am working with two lovely
apprentices, located in Maryland and Pennsylvania, so that there will be
continuity when I am no longer able to provide cautious lace conservation
and restoration advice. It is uncharted waters, and will require a lot of
new research and coaching on my part!

My advice to all who need help carrying on with lace expertise, is to let
people know. After we are "very sick" or "gone" will be too late! We must
teach and share when we are still well and have energy.
