dear Jane in Vermont and spiders first thankyou Jane for the very nice appraisal of our book on Borris Lace. If anyone has any questions anytime I would be very happy to answer them. I am on holidays at the moment and only rarely check this email as I am using a travelling email account for ease of access on my iphone. It was a lovely surprize to see the heading Borris Lace! I am travelling with Marie Laurie my co-author and after Slovenia we will travel to Ireland and once again visit Borris House (castle) to meet with the family and study the lace. We hope also to visit Ballantrae in Scotland where the same lace was produced and we will study the lace there with Jean Leader who is also on this list. Some items are on display in the library in Ballantrae and some other pieces are in private collections.
The lace world is so wonderful and doors open when we all share the same passion. A lace group in Lubljiana were very interested in our Borris Lace so we have left a book and some tape and thread so they can try it for themselves.
