Subject: FW: Update on Dad - SMP lace
Mum's funeral is confirmed on Thursday June
20th at 11.30 am at Amersham Crematorium , also known as the Chilterns
Crematorium. We've booked a double slot so that we're not rushed,
especially
with Dad, (I hate it when the next funeral is queuing up outside!) & we've
booked the larger Milton Chapel which seats 150 with lots more standing
room
at the back. We are hoping to book the large room at the Crown in Old
Amersham soon for the wake, but still to confirm that. We've decided that
flowers are more than welcome as long as they're small & seasonal, or even
better, something Dad can enjoy planted in the garden. Or donations can be
made to one of Mum's favourite charities - also to confirm.
Now for the hard part. I know you shouldn't 'RSVP' to a funeral, but
especially for the lace world, it would be really useful if people who are
definitely coming would let me know, preferably by email, so that I can
roughly judge how many to cater for at the wake. Dad has it in his head
that
loads might turn up & he'd really love & wants that. All are welcome, the
more the merrier for a fabulous celebration of a very special life.
More details to come, but I think it's best to let people know asap.
