I shared my baby steps on http://bobbin-lace.wikispaces.com/software+reviews but never tried to walk the lane any further. @spiders using http://www.gimp.org I just wrote a tutorial for grids on http://bobbin-lace.wikispaces.com/grids#Tutorials-Gimp but still have to learn to connect the dots efficiently.
