I forgot to ask a related question: does anyone know any of the curators at the museums who might be open to letting me photograph lace that's in their collection but not on exhibit? For example, I assume that the Museum of Lace and Costume in Brussels must have a more extensive collection than they can exhibit at once. I'm studying the 18th C bobbin laces (old Valenciennes/Binche) with the goal of reconstructing some and designing others "in the old style" so I'm interested to see as many examples as I can. Thanks!
