<snip>....the Antwerp lace museum at Saint-Carolus-Borremus church is
well worth seeing.
We visited Antwerp two years ago and after having a class in Ithaca
with Nora Andries a few years ago, I was anxious to visit this church.
The museum was not open the day we were there, but there was a showcase
with several samples of Nora's laces from her folio, "Caroluskantjes",
in the back of the church. Though I would love to have visited the
museum, I was thrilled to see these pieces. Lace is always so much
better "in the flesh" than in pictures.
