Hello All! This is an SOS as I fear I have corrupted someone else's files--sheesh! After consulting the Archives, I uploaded a photo to my Flickr set but it also went to Photostream. Have no clue how to get it out & promise not to do it again--Mea Culpa! As to the Bookworm--our newly minted IOLI charter chapter is looking for a way to thank the library system in Ohio (Warren/Trumbull County, Cortland & Howland branches) for hosting our group in their community rooms. Bookmarks for the Summer Reading program came to mind as this would allow members to make something for 2014. The Springett snake was considered because it's an easy shape that could be customized. This was followed by a Bookworm adaptation that more closely resembles online pictures. With sincere apologies to Mrs. Read, I adapted her scroll start for the head, then added 4-pin buds, ammonite, meander-in-braid 1 & finished with ten-stick. The shape lends itself to a variety of slithery-looking Milanese ! braids, making each Bookworm sampler unique. Apparently Bookworms are nearsighted because online versions wear glasses so the red plastic frames (Hobby Lobby) were hand sewn. He (or she!) is a little top heavy so if anyone knows of a source for smaller ones, please let me know. The project needs some refinement to say the least! Sincerely, Susan Hottle, Erie, PA USA
