Hello All! Just wanted to follow up on comments from Jeri & Pene. While ILL is a great resource, it should be noted that the books requested are not always available nor free! My library quoted me a $20 ILL "borrowing fee"--per book & NOT a refundable deposit--twice this summer. Other titles were simply not available whatsoever. You can help your library fulfill a request by providing the OCLC number found at www.worldcat.org. In addition to the IOLI library, some IOLI chapters have extensive holdings available to members--another good reason to join. And let's not overlook our lacemaking friends. A book I was seeking was on a friend's bookshelf--problem solved! Last but not least, surely there are some books that will find a new home thru an event such as a Lace Day, Lace Guild Summer School, LASB etc. Sincerely, Susan Hottle, Erie, PA USA--still suffering sticker shock from an OOP lace book priced at $145 + shipping & handling!
