Jenny, you're doing really well! Congratulations! One of the best pointers I ever received, early on in my lacemaking, was to resist the urge to pull the pins as long as you can! This is because the threads in the ground are still very moveable and without the pins in place, you work can easily be distorted. Another good tip is to try to work the ground on the same diagonal all the time, as switching back and forth leaves visible changes in the tension on the threads.
