I have a folder of patterns called Filigrane Kloppelkunst, Ambiente,
Schmuck & Geschenke. There is a nice "kragen" depicted on the back cover that
I
would like to make. According to the materials list, it is made of: Leinen
handgefarbt Nel 80/3, Farbe L 105 Blue Bajou. I am unable to find this
thread. The only reference I see to it appears on the internet on a site about
lace Kugeln (balls) in which it appears made up into a ball, and the thread
is attributed to Barbara Diesing.

Is there any commercial source for this in the US or anywhere? I think
that the term handgefarbt, probably means hand dyed, so I am afraid that it
may have been a single dye lot. It appears to be a variegated thread. In
reality, a lot of the beauty of the neck piece depends on the color of this
thread, so a lot would be lost with a substitution.
