I have always been under the impression that bringing books  and printed 
material back from Europe, for personal use, is free. I think there  is 
something on the form that you fill out in the airplane about this. This  seems 
to 
be covered in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States  (2009) 
Chapter 49, or am I reading this incorrectly?
