I don't think there is any structural reason to twist the weaver as it goes
around the pin. You will have ctc pin ctc.  Or (minus the pin) ctcctc.  The
lace won't fall apart without it.  I think it is a matter of taste, and how
you want the lace to look.  When I want a prominent loop on the edge I may use
as many as 3 twists on the weaver only.  Or if I'm working a tape lace, I
usually put 2 - 4 twists, so I have a nice big hole to sew into later.
