Happy New Year, Everyone! Yes, I have two resolutions, both lace-related! I have a badly botched piece of Binche on my pillow and I have resolved to retro-lace to the point where I departed from the diagram (not intentionally, of course. ). This process will take a long time, but I am determined to do it. I have not made lace for probably five months because of this, and I cannot bear the thought of tossing out the nice work done before my major mistake!
My second resolution is to reconstruct an adorable piece of Mechlin lace which I recently acquired! OK! My bars are really high! Assuming I survive "Lace at Sweet Briar", I think I can accomplish at least one of them! Happy New Year to everyone! In my fantasy, we could all be together "in the flesh" for this one day, but that is just a fantasy.... Can you imagine how much fun that would be?!? Sigh...
