The publication by Ruth Bean was, if I remember correctly, a printed trued up pattern on card ready to be pricked. Also a double page folder with a picture of the mat worked by Pat Bury and some background history. Is it the copyright for this that was held by Ruth? I ask this as the original design goes much farther back than that - I have photocopies of a much earlier rough pattern pricking. Also there is a picture of the original lace mat in one of the books by Miss Channer worked by one of her students from Bedford. Which must have been in the first half of the 20th century. Are my old prickings covered by the same copyright - tricky one !!!!!! Diana in Northamptonshire where it is still wet and windy.
