We've now mounted the answer to the Advent Calendar competition which you'll find at
http://www.laceguild.org/guild/results.html (You may need to refresh your browser.) The jig-saw puzzle lace is part of a Brussels application stole that was given to me by one of my students. It is part of a small collection of lace that her aunt had brought with her when she left Germany to come to Britain in 1938. She had passed the lace on to her niece who had passed it on to me as none of her children were interested. I already have a fan from this collection on my website ( http://www.jeanleader.net/collection/fan.html ) and hope to add some pictures of the stole before too long. If you're interested in who made or designed the lace in the other pictures you'll find these at http://www.laceguild.org/guild/credits.html Jean and David from wet and windy Glasgow - To unsubscribe send email to [email protected] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [email protected].
