Jane, As an overseas buyer on eBay (Australia) I would be deterred from buying a glass framed item from the UK as postage is expensive and the chance of the glass arriving in one piece would be minimal. Even well packaged books often arrive with bent or damaged corners. Glass framed items therefore are not popular or the buyer can hope that the seller will take the glass from the frame before shipping but not all sellers are this obliging.
