Dear Brian, as we all on Arachne know, the copyright rules are different in each country. It seems to me you can avoid a lot of problems by acknowledging the problem on the website, asking permission to post any copyrighted pictures, and expressing a willingness to delete any photos as the copyright holder may request. In my American opinion, the fact that you are not making a profit on the enterprise would make a difference, but then that's just my opinion. I think the idea of a website for Continental bobbin identification would be a great thing for lacemakers. Personally I fail to see why the owners of Midlands bobbins should have all the fun.
