I always understood that it was thought the difference came about due to the English worker watching someone work while they, - the watcher, - was standing in front of the pillow - so of course, the footside would look like it was on the opposite side to what it really was. Think about when we are demonstrating - the public see us from the front of the pillow, not from 'our' side, - so everything would look reversed.
I get my digest form of the list Ok - all the messages are in full. I have had one strange message - and I see it is here in this digest -#61. from needlelace @ AOL... It just says Hi, how are you, and below - People say it works and a web link. I have Not opened it - I also got it privately, - off list. Not sure what it is about, so have left it well alone.
