Hi Beth! I have the same problem, and I do keep a pair of fine tweezers with my tools. They are especially helpful when the fine fur (nearly invisible, since my cat has lots of white fur) gets caught in the threads just where I'm working. I can actually remove the fur before it gets worked into a piece.
