I'm another who just likes the making, and doesn't care much what happens to the finished product - if indeed it gets finished. A good challenging pricking, a combination of threads and/or colours, whatever appeals.
Incidentally, for those on Arachne who knew I lived in Cooma at "The Round House", DH and I have recently moved to live with our son and his partner (and her grandmother) in a beautiful house in a valley about 20 minutes drive south of Canberra, with hardly another house in site, and once settled in, I'll have lots of time to tackle some of those lace projects I've had on my "want to try" list for ages.
